A summary of what I learned from Chronicles as it relates to today.

During the reign of the last few kings, Judah falls into captivity.

After Amon is killed, Josiah takes the throne at the tender age of 8 (only one year older than Joash when he took the throne). Josiah is another important king in terms of restoring Judah's relationship with God.

Judah's best king was followed by it's worst: Manasseh.

Hezekiah, son of Ahaz, takes the throne at the age of 25 and reigns for 29 years. He was one of the best, possibly the best, kings of Judah. It is during Hezekiah's reign that the Israelites experience a major revival in their relationship with God.

Ahaz takes over the throne from Jotham at the age of 20 and reigns for 16 years.

Not much is said about Jotham, but he is also discussed in 2 Kings 15.

Uzziah, son of Amaziah, becomes king at the age of 16 and rules for 52 years.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart. 2 Chronicles 25:2 KJV Amaziah becomes king of Judah after the death of Joash. He his crowned king at the age of 25 and reigns for 29 years. Like his father, he is assassinated for turning against God.

The reign of Jehoram of Judah is discussed.

Asa was the son of Abijah who inherited the throne after his father's death. Asa leads the southern kingdom of Judah for 41 years, most of which are peaceful.
